Wildlife at The Lonesome Dove Log Cabin
Here are some pictures of our visitors that stop by daily. We have added a few new pictures this year and will continue adding more as we take them. We had the pleasure of seeing (many times the week we were on vacation) a beautiful baby deer, who visited on a regular basis. The fawn was not concerned with us working in the yard or admiring her, because she posed for some nice pictures. We also had frequent visits from turkey, rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks, racoons and ground hogs. Last year we were very fortunate to see a Black Bear. It seems they like wild bird seed and to our surprise, Thistle seed. Of course, our birds were probably not happy when their feeders were on the ground and empty. Well we are happy to say we were able to get pictures of the bear this year. It was pretty late and dark out, so you have to look closely to see him (or her).
